We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data entry, Quick Books, have a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and an ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. This is a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and track job costing to accurately allocate labor costs to specific projects or cost centers.
· Collaborate with HR and accounting team to improve process efficiency.
· Generate financial reports and assist in budget tracking, cost allocations, and variance analysis as needed
· Accounts payable/receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payment reconciliation and back deposits
· Support the preparation and submission of financial reports for leadership
· Maintain accurate financial records of all transactions
· Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company’s assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting
Qualifications:
· Proficient in excel and Quick Books
· Strong understanding of job costing and labor allocation principles.
- Admin background
· High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· 2+ years of experience in accounting
- Associates degree (that qualifies)Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in QuickBooks
· Knowledge of certified payroll or prevailing wage reporting
· Understanding of GAAP
