Job Description

Finance and Human Resources Assistant Location Markleville, IN :

This full-time position has a significant impact on the quality and effectiveness of the organization's financial and human resources processes. Key responsibilities will include accounts payable, human resources communications, and special projects. The work focus will be finance responsibilities (60%) then human resources (40%). The candidate must have the ability to work as a team member to ensure that others have the tools and knowledge required to make financial, operational and human capital decisions. The candidate must have effective communication skills with all levels of management and be able to work with cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or undergraduate working toward a business degree

· 2 - 4 years of work experience in related fields

· Cooperative team player with proactive communication style

· Strong organizational and process improvement skills

· Working knowledge of manufacturing processes

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills

· Ability to organize, manage and prioritize work for self; able to work both independently and in a team environment

· Experience with payroll preferred, specifically ADP or UKG

RESPONSIBILITIES BY DEPARTMENT

Finance (60%)

· Responsible for owning the accounts receivable process / billing and posting invoices that have been paid in Macola and process payments (experience in ERP / Macola helpful)

· Ensure accurate and timely collection of customer invoices

· Maintain and uphold company internal controls; proactively identify gaps in the control process, including bank reconciliation and in-transit

· Liaise with customers and proactively manage issue resolution collaborating (with internal and external partners) maintaining relationships

· Review / reconcile customer statements

· Assist with month end close, specifically with AR aging and customer balance review, rebate accruals, reconciling the AR subledger and other receivable related accounts

· Assist with audit-related supporting documents and information requests

· Develop AR-related procedures with a focus on simplification and digitization

· Identify creative means to gain efficiencies within our existing processes

· Ensure accurate and timely intangibles amortization

· Other duties as assigned

Human Resources (40%)

· Responsible for weekly payroll processing

· Responsible for Company Events

· Manage full cycle recruiting for hourly/entry level positions

· Manage temporary workforce, including working with temporary agencies and ensuring time sheets are gathered and sent in timely manner

· Maintain training/skills matrix

Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $50,000.00 per year
