Job Description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a global leader in property technology, to hire an   IT Systems Specialist   to support their growing internal IT operations at their Houston headquarters.

This role is ideal for a mid-level IT professional with a strong technical foundation and a passion for user support. You'll handle a mix of hands-on troubleshooting, system administration, and internal project support, helping ensure a smooth, secure IT environment across multiple office locations.

*THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION*

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and VoIP systems

• Maintain user accounts, system access, and permissions in Active Directory and Office 365

• Support internal systems including Windows Server, VMware, and basic network infrastructure

• Respond to service requests and document resolution steps using a ticketing system

• Assist with IT projects, equipment rollouts, and system upgrades

• Maintain hardware inventory and assist with onboarding/offboarding tasks

• Collaborate with vendors and escalate support issues as needed

• Write internal IT documentation and user guides

Tech Environment

• Windows Server (2016+), Active Directory, Group Policy

• Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)

• VMware ESXi, Hyper-V

• Cisco/Aruba network hardware, Fortinet firewalls

• Windows 11, remote desktop tools, Veeam Backup

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of IT support or systems experience

• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic networking issues

• Strong communication skills with a service-first attitude

• Experience supporting hybrid or multi-location teams a plus

• Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) are a bonus
