Job Description

Part Time Public Policy Coordinator Location Hybrid remote in New Bedford, MA :

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a strategic advisor to the CEO on stakeholder engagement and strategic partnerships across the legislative community.
  • Coordinates the protection and enhancement of RASEM's interests with local, state and national leaders.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and prepares for legislative issues affecting the real estate industry.
  • Elevates the public policy profile of RASEM with key local and state public officials and ensures the visibility of the association's positive impact on the real estate industry.
  • Provides communications and/or political advocacy counsel to the staff and volunteer leaders of the association.
  • Works in conjunction with the state and national association to provide pertinent information to RASEM members and coordinate legislative action as needed.
  • Serves as staff liaison to the association's Government Relations Committee.
  • Research and execute necessary grant opportunities from the national and state associations to enhance the legislative and community engagement work done by RASEM.
  • Serve as RASEM's staff liaison for the Realtor Political Action Committee, Massachusetts Real Estate Community Alliance and the Rail-to-Boston Coalition and complete local association tasks associated with these groups as needed.

Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Political Science or Public Policy- 1-3 years experience in the public policy or legislative field- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect data for government relations use- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Ability to work independently and also within a team setting
