Job Description

Shape a safer world with STERIS

At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.

A day in this role

You start your morning from home in Mississippi, Louisiana, or Arkansas and head to a hospital where a critical piece of medical equipment needs attention. You greet the clinical team, diagnose the issue, and return the device to reliable operation. In the afternoon, you review preventive maintenance tasks, document your work using our technology platforms, and coordinate with Technical Support and Engineering to resolve a complex escalation. The next day, you may be on the road to another facility in Texas or Tennessee, building trust with Customers and keeping care teams running smoothly.

What you will do

  • Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on STERIS and competitor medical equipment, systems, and components inside hospitals.
  • Independently manage your schedule to complete PMs, service and warranty calls, installations, field upgrades, and other assigned work.
  • Collaborate with Tech Support, Engineering, and Service Contract Management; use advanced digital tools to meet compliance and regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Present repair options, pricing, and recommendations; partner with Sales to enhance Customer experience and identify potential revenue opportunities.
  • Support multiple hospital locations across the region based on service agreements and Customer needs.

Where and how you work

  • Home-based, Customer-facing role; work primarily takes place inside hospitals.
