The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) provides skilled nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires strong scrub and circulate skills, experience in Level 1 Trauma settings, and the ability to float within scope to meet facility needs. The RN will work 5x8 hour shifts and participate in a monthly weekend call rotation.

Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the operating room.
- Function as both a scrub and circulating nurse.
- Assist with various surgical procedures including Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care and related activities accurately and completely.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in the OR.
- Level 1 Trauma experience.
- Strong scrub and circulate skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in Neurosurgery (crani and spine), Open Heart/Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, and Gynecology.
Special Considerations:
- Mandatory float facility; resources are required to float at the facility's discretion.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
- No block scheduling.
- No RTO the day prior or after a holiday.
- No RTO on weekends.
Scheduling:
- 5x8 hour shifts, 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM.
- One 12-hour call shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Every other weekend / 2 weekends per month.
- Maximum of 5 days RTO with no more than 2 consecutive days.
- No holiday RTO.
