Structural Welder Ship Repair Industry
Pay: $30/hr (Local Only)
Shift: 1st and 2nd Shift Available
Job Description:
We are seeking skilled Structural Welders to join our team for ship repair and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multiple welding processes and capable of performing high-quality welds on various types of steel used in ship construction and repair.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG, Stick, and Flux Core (FCAW) welding on mild and high-tensile steels (HY80 / HY100).
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
Fit, align, and weld structural components such as bulkheads, frames, and decks.
Ensure all welds meet NAVSEA standards.
Follow all safety and environmental procedures in compliance with shipyard regulations.
Work independently or as part of a team in confined or elevated spaces.
Requirements:
Minimum 4years of structural welding experience in the ship repair or shipbuilding industry .
Must be a U.S. Citizen .
Must pass both a written test and a hands-on welding test (Flux Core, Stick, or MIG).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various shipyard environments.
Must follow all safety standards and PPE requirements.
