DrFirst is seeking a Director of Pharmacy Sales and Business Development who will be responsible for focusing on sales opportunities for a variety of Pharmacy products and services specifically in the chain and specialty retail pharmacy space. In addition, this person will assume oversight of existing pharmacy customers in managing the health, opportunities, and well-being of their accounts and also include opportunities to sell back into their accounts on applicable items. Lastly, this person will work with other technology providers, clients, and industry experts to identify customer needs and brainstorm plausible solutions that meet them.

The portfolio is focused on retail chain clients of all sizes but especially the largest chains that account for greater than 50% market share.

What you will work on:
  • Sell directly and through others to Chain pharmacy executives and decision-makers. This includes creating and explaining solution value props understanding the dynamics of customer needs and individuality and tailoring solutions to them.
  • Development and cultivation of new opportunities, sales funnel creation and maintenance, and the use of modern technology tools (NetSuite, PeopleSoft, etc.) to track and maintain.
  • Manage strategic relationships with tangential technology providers to the chain space for synergies.
  • Collaborate with the data team to design and develop reports and data analytics that measure outcomes related to client performance and opportunities.
  • Perform analysis and presentations that use information to track outcomes, understand business trends, and identify strategies for improvement for retention and upsell.
  • Research and resolve issues regarding client issues and problems. Work with others to resolve.
  • Work with different stakeholders and subject matter experts, including other business development peers, IT/technical, System Operations, and training.
  • Prioritize customer requests and articulate them to product management in an organized manner.
  • Understand how services are being used and use that knowledge to inform future developments
  • Develop strategic business plans to expand the adoption and utilization of DrFirst products to payers and PBMs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least five (5) years of experience in executive and management-level sales within the chain pharmacy industry. Bonus for experience in the Specialty pharmacy industry.
  • Strong client-facing experience
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, video) presence and skills.
  • Maturity and balance.
  • Prior experience working with Chains in an account manager or client service role.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and a proven ability to demo, upsell, and manage a customer base.
  • Must have proven client-facing experience with at least five different chain pharmacy clients.
  • Commitment to the utilization of systems and tools
Physical Requirements:
  • 75% working at desk/ phone
  • 25% travel to DrFirst and customer locations per business requirements.
