This internship provides hands-on exposure to the middle- and back-office functions that support Aflac\u2019s Global Investments trading activity. The intern will gain an understanding of how trades move through the lifecycle\u2014from execution to settlement\u2014and how operational teams ensure accuracy, liquidity, and efficiency across a large portfolio of investment accounts. Working closely with trade operations professionals, the intern will develop foundational knowledge of investment operations, cash management processes, broker interaction, and process optimization within a highly regulated corporate investment environment.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong> Job functional responsibilities include: <\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li> Support daily trade operations activities across Aflac investment entities, including trade processing, settlement support, and reconciliation tasks. <\/li><li> Assist with operational reviews across multiple investment accounts to help ensure accuracy, sufficient cash positioning, and timely trade settlement. <\/li><li>\u00a0Partner with internal teams and external brokers to help resolve trade-related inquiries and support ongoing operational workflows. <\/li><li> Contribute to small process-improvement projects by documenting procedures, identifying efficiency opportunities, and assisting with basic automation or reporting enhancements using Excel. <\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong><em> Additional qualifications include: <\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>undergraduate or graduate degree in finance. <\/li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills. <\/li><li>Proficiency in Excel. <\/li><li> Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. <\/li><li> All candidates must have eligibility to work permanently in the U.S. and must be physically located in the continental U.S. for the duration of internship. <\/li><li> Working time zone is Eastern Standard Time in New York City. <\/li><li> Worker Designation: \u201chybrid work schedule \u2013 minimum of 3 days per week\u201d and excited to have in-person learning for the summer of 2026. <\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p> The range on these positions is: $18.75-$31.25\/hr. and is a non-exempt position.
